Yale School of Forestry and Environmental studies needed a custom web application which could organize the usage of classrooms and special events. The application must be able to detect conflicts in schedule down to the half hour, as well as providing a way to schedule repeating events. This organizational system was to have three parts: 1 – A public area in which professors and staff could request a room online. 2- An administration area which would allow for event approvals/edits/removals, repeating events, and emailing approvals. 3 – The calendar must have HTML output for use on the yale.edu homepage, as well as support for calendar programs such as Google Calendar and Apple Calendar to view room schedules.
